Festival highlights
The main highlight is the parade where the danjiri from all 5 neighborhoods gather in front of Kitanoda Station.
You can see several danjiri together during the joint parade before the shrine visits and at the shrines themselves.
A distinctive feature is the chance to compare the different character of each neighborhood within the same festival, from their decorations and danjiri being lifted to the nimble pulling of the smaller danjiri.

Tips for your visit
The parade in front of Kitanoda Station attracts many spectators. The article suggests avoiding the first floor and watching through a gap on the second floor.
If you want to see the danjiri up close, one suggested option is to wait until the 5-neighborhood ceremony ends rather than going during the crowded station-front parade.
Please do not obstruct the danjiri route, and follow local guidance while keeping the safety of those around you in mind.
