Nango Summer Jazz Festival began in 1990 to promote the local area of Nango Village, as it was known at the time.
The first event was held at the Nango Village Citizens’ General Gymnasium as the “1st Autumn Jazz Festival in Nango ’90.”
The following year, the event moved to the adjacent outdoor stage at Cuckoo Forest Echo Land and took on its current name.
The festival was canceled from 2020 to 2022 to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
