Festival highlights

A highlight is the futon-daiko floats, which differ in design from district to district.

The Miyamoto district has a thin, single-layer futon roof, while the Kitabeppu district has a thin, flat roof made of 5 layers. The Minamibeppu district’s float features elaborate hazama carvings.

The Fukiage district’s is smaller than the other 3 floats and retains its traditional appearance.
