Origins and History of Tsukechi National Ladies Craft Fair
A 2023 Nakatsugawa City notice described the event as aiming to expand opportunities for women in crafts, revitalize the local community, and provide a venue for craft artists to present their work; it said the event was then in its 31st year.
The same notice also describes it as a rare event nationwide, noting that exhibitors came from as far away as Saitama and Hiroshima prefectures.
The 2026 application notice identified it as the 34th fair, confirming that it has been held over the years.
