Tips for your visit
In 2026, muddy ground was reported at the venue, so visitors were advised to wear comfortable shoes that could get dirty, such as sneakers or boots.
Bring rain gear, and avoid using umbrellas during the fireworks so as not to block the view of people behind you.
Drone flights are prohibited, and traffic around the stations and departing cars become congested after the event, so allow plenty of time.
Origins and History of Takaishi Cho Hanabi
This seaside area has memories of fireworks dating back to the Taisho era, and the Takaishi Festival began in 1976.
Carrying on that tradition, the Takaishi Seaside Festival started in 2013 and has contributed to community fellowship, fostering local pride, and revitalizing the town.
After it became difficult to continue due to safety concerns and changes in the operating environment, Takaishi Cho Hanabi began as the fireworks tradition was passed on to a private business.
