Festival highlights

A highlight is the masked satokagura dance “Toppikipii Odori,” dedicated during the Suga Shrine Grand Festival.

Performers wear masks and use gestures and movements, without dialogue, to depict scenes to the accompaniment of festival music.

This Yokosuka City-designated intangible folk cultural property has been passed down since the Edo period and remains a signature local performing art of Kamoi's festival.
