The Urayasu City Fireworks Festival lights up the autumn night sky over Urayasu General Park and Takasu Seaside Park. In 2026, it was held as an event featuring approximately 3,600 fireworks over 30 minutes.

About Urayasu City Fireworks Festival

The Urayasu City Fireworks Festival is a fireworks event held in Urayasu City.

In 2026, its 43rd edition was held, with Urayasu City General Park and Takasu Seaside Park as the viewing venues.

Set in two parks near the sea, it offers local residents an opportunity to enjoy fireworks.

Festival highlights

In 2026, approximately 3,600 fireworks were launched over 30 minutes, starting at 6 p.m.

There were two viewing areas—Urayasu General Park and Takasu Seaside Park—and both had unreserved seating.

Food trucks were also scheduled to operate at the venue, offering food and drinks before and after the fireworks.

What to expect

In 2026, the gates opened at 2 p.m., and all seating at the venue was unreserved.

Visitors must show their winning postcard on entry. Guests using the invitation seating area will receive a wristband to watch the fireworks.

Bringing food, drinks, and alcoholic beverages was permitted, but smoking was prohibited throughout the venue, and tents and parasols were not allowed.

How to take part

Members of the general public could also apply, but in 2026 entry was limited to people who won free invitation seating for city residents and their companions.

Without a winning postcard, visitors cannot enter the viewing areas at Urayasu General Park or Takasu Seaside Park.

This is an event for watching from the invitation seating area, not for performing in or helping to run the fireworks display.

In 2026, applications for free invitation seating for city residents were accepted, and places were allocated by lottery.

The application deadline was August 15, and successful applicants received notification in mid-September. However, the winning postcard is required for entry.

No paid seating was available, and people who did not win an invitation could not enter the regular viewing areas.
