Origins and History of Lion Dance Festa
Lion Dance Festa was conceived after the Miki Town Community Development Project Promotion Council surveyed the town’s lion dances.
The survey found that 3 large lion figures and 53 small lion figures were dedicated at shrines in the town, and the festival began as an event to use this culture to revitalize the town.
It continued to be held from its first event in 1992 and expanded in 1995 by incorporating the Local Products Festival, but was discontinued in 2011.
