Festival highlights
The main highlight is Kaccha, in which lantern floats collide at night.
To the accompaniment of Yamagaryū military-drum music, floats weighing about 8 tons move forward. When their projecting front poles collide, the lanterns sway dramatically.
You can also enjoy the striking contrast between the flower-decorated floats, adorned with carvings and flowers, during the day and the lantern floats glowing at night.
