What to expect
A dance area is set up around the yagura at the back of the venue. When live Kawachi Ondo and Goshu Ondo music and singing begin, several dance circles move to their own choreography.
Visitors can listen to the music and enjoy the hand dances, Nagashi, and Kinshicho Mambo unfolding around them.
In 2026, a prelude song was performed before 5 p.m.; the event was scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. and end around 9 p.m.

The listed location is near 2-1 Koto-bashi, Sumida City, Tokyo.
- Train and bus
It is about a 6-minute walk from the south exit of Kinshicho Station.
For the JR Sobu Line, use the south exit of Kinshicho Station; for the Hanzomon subway line, use Exit E1.
- By car
Head toward the Metropolitan Expressway overpass and go straight through the Koto-bashi 3-chome intersection.
- Parking
A bicycle parking area is available on the north side of the venue.
No motorcycle parking is provided. Kinshicho Park Tower is listed as a motorcycle parking option.

Please use the bicycle parking area north of the venue. Bicycles may not be parked on Botanbashi (the road in front of the main office entrance).
There is no motorcycle parking area, so if you come by motorcycle, please check the designated parking lot.
Origins and History of Sumida Kinshicho Kawachi Ondo Grand Bon Odori
It began in 1982, when a group of Kawachi Ondo enthusiasts from the Kanto region invited an Ondo singer from Osaka and held the “Tokyo Invasion Concert.”
In 1997, the event moved to Tatekawa Shinsui Park and became established as a Bon Odori festival in Kinshicho.
The event was canceled in 2020. The 40th edition was held in 2022, after a 3-year break, followed by the 41st in 2023. From 2025, the event has been moved to late July.
