It began as a festival commemorating Uozu during the Sengoku period and is tied to the history of the mountain castles that remain in the area, including Matsukura Castle and the ruins of Masukata Castle.
Since 2017, it has been held on the same day as the “Yossha Koi!! CHOUROKU Festival,” which takes place along Uozu Station’s main street and elsewhere.
