The fireworks festival was held through 2008 on the riverbed downstream of Suehiro Bridge on the Minō River in Omura, Miki.
The event was suspended from 2009 against the backdrop of factors including a declaration of financial crisis. In 2012, it resumed under the new name “Mikky Summer Festival” at Hyogo Prefectural Miki Disaster Management Park.
Today, it is held as a summer community festival centered on fireworks, combining performances by local residents with food stalls.
