Festival highlights
Highlights include 3 dashi: Shōjō-yama, Rinnasei-yama, and Shishi-yama.
Their unusual design allows the platforms and upper structures to rotate while the wheels remain still, making them well suited to the narrow streets of the Takada district.
Karakuri puppet performances, kagura, and shishimai are also presented. Along with the dashi carvings and curtains, they create a lively festival atmosphere.
