Origins and History of Hanno Festival

Hanno Festival began in 1971, with Hanno City, the city’s tourism association, the chamber of commerce, and others at its center.

Previously, separate autumn festivals were held in different parts of Hanno City, but because they were vulnerable to rain, they were consolidated into a single festival in 1971.

Today, it continues as a downtown festival where dashi and sokonuke yatai gather.
