A summer event in which visitors can enjoy fireworks and Fukuchiyama Odori on the banks of the Yura River in Fukuchiyama City. For 2026, 6,000 fireworks, food stalls, and a participatory dance were announced.
About Dokkoi-se Fukuchiyama Fireworks Festival
The Dokkoi-se Fukuchiyama Fireworks Festival has been held on the banks of the Yura River in Fukuchiyama City.
The name “Dokkoi-se” comes from the musical accompaniment for Fukuchiyama Odori, a traditional performing art of Fukuchiyama.
The festival began in 1932 and was suspended for many years after an accident in 2013, but resumed in 2024 as “Fukuchiyama HANABI.”
Fireworks, Fukuchiyama Odori, and food stalls were also planned for 2026, and the event was presented as a celebration of the local summer.

Origins and History of Dokkoi-se Fukuchiyama Fireworks Festival
The festival began in 1932 and continued for many years as a summer event in Fukuchiyama City.
Because a food-stall explosion occurred at the venue in August 2013, large-scale events were not held afterward.
Against the backdrop of residents' calls for its return and the efforts of local organizations, “Fukuchiyama HANABI” was held in 2024 for the first time in 11 years, and the event was also announced in a new format for 2026.
Official information
The 2026 event information is featured in “Furusato Fukuchiyama Dayori” on the official Fukuchiyama City website.
It lists the event date, fireworks time, venue, weather policy, and number of fireworks, and provides a link to the official Fukuchiyama HANABI website.
Information about the fireworks festival is also posted by Fukuchiyama City's Commerce and Tourism Division.
