What to expect

In 2026, a memorial service was held in the morning near the base of the left bank of the Abekawa Bridge, and fireworks were launched at night following a drone show.

The drone show runs for approximately 15 minutes from 7:30 p.m., followed by fireworks from 7:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visitors watch the displays in the night sky from the riverbank, and can join in the group singing during the drone show.

How to take part

The fireworks are an event for visitors to watch, but the 2026 drone show featured an interactive element in which visitors joined in the singing.

About 1,300 drones formed song lyrics and musical staves, with the audience singing together.

No information has been provided about opportunities to take part in launching the fireworks themselves or any age requirements for attending.
